Sex Addiction Support Groups In Colorado Springs, CO
Our Sex Addicts Anonymous Freedom Groups:
Our sex addiction anonymous support groups are a resource which helps you successfully recover from your sex addiction. These groups empower you to share your personal story and what you have learned in your recovery process. They also allow you to learn from the experiences of others and receive positive feedback during the sharing times.
The group environment allows you to see yourself and situation through others. This perspective helps you understand your own situation better and develop solutions to your problems. The healing environment of the group also speeds up your recovery process much faster than trying to walk the road to recovery alone.

Are our sex addiction anonymous groups similar to the Sexaholics Anonymous groups which use the Twelve Step Plan?
Yes, our groups support recovering sex addicts and are similar to the Sex Addicts Anonymous and Sexaholics Anonymous groups which use the Twelve Steps to recovery peer support program.
We call them Freedom Groups. Our Freedom Groups are focused around helping sex and love addicts, sexaholics and those suffering from compulsive sexual behavior. Group members can share their stories and struggles and also have the opportunity to receive crosstalk and supportive feedback from other group members.
Sex addiction work groups vs support groups.
We use sex addiction work groups for our anonymous recovery program. Work groups are like support groups but they have several key differences.
Work groups promote positive forward movement in your recovery while support groups mainly support those who are having the most problems.
What type of recovery program or plan to do Freedom Groups use?
Our Freedom Groups use the Steps to Freedom recovery plan which was pioneered by Douglas Weiss, PH.D. and incorporates his roadmap to an addiction free life. This plan is similar to the Twelve Steps of recovery which is widely used to combat the problems of alcohol and substance abuse. Dr Weiss's freedom recovery principles have set tens of thousands of people free from addiction over the last 30 years.
Our Steps to Freedom recovery plan helps recovering sex addicts from a Christian faith-based perspective. It is based around these 3 books:
- The Final Freedom: Learn More at Dr. Doug's Store
- Steps to Freedom: Learn More At Dr. Doug's Store
- 101 Freedom Exercises: Learn More At Dr. Doug's Store
We also have an alternative Steps to Freedom recovery plan book set from a secular-based perspective. This plan uses these 3 books:
